Eligibility: Membership is open to all boys in grades 9th-12th who live or attend school in Fullerton, La Habra, Buena Park & Brea and their parents or guardians.
Adult Mentors: Boys must join with a sponsoring adult who also takes a membership role.
Meetings: There will be six general meetings a year. Boys must attend at least four; adults must attend at least two.
Calendar: The SLOBs service year runs from May 1-April 30. The first meeting of each year will be held in August; the final meeting will be in April or early May. Membership for the current service year is open until the October meeting. Any service hours completed after the final meeting will be applied to the following year.
Youth members must complete at least ten service hours per year; adults must complete five.
Up to two service hours can be satisfied by bringing specified donations to meetings.
Dues: A fee of $65 per boy will be used to cover our operating costs and to purchase T-shirts. Scholarships are available for any family for whom dues are a hardship; please contact our VP of Membership in confidence.
For youth members entering 9th-12th grade, you may join online, by mail, or at our August & October membership meetings.
